MASTER PLANNING & PROGRAMMING - COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION FOR FIRST BUILDING
TAHOE EXPEDITION ACADEMY IS AN EXPEDITIONARY LEARNING SCHOOL FOR GRADES PRE-K THROUGH 12. THE CAMPUS IS LOCATED ON A NATURAL 42 ACRE SITE AND CONSISTS OF 5 ACADEMIC BUILDINGS, A THEATER/ SHOPS BUILDING, A GYM, CAFE, MAINTENANCE, AND ADMINISTRATION/EXPEDITION PREP. BUILDINGS. THESE BUILDINGS ARE CAREFULLY PLACED THROUGHOUT THE SITE FOLLOWING THE TOPOGRAPHY TO BLEND INTO THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. SITE CIRCULATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE INCLUDING VEHICULAR AND PEDESTRIAN ROADWAYS, AN OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATER AND A SPORTS FIELD WHERE ALSO INCORPORATED INTO THE DESIGN OF THE CAMPUS. THE DESIGN OF THE FIRST BUILDING WAS DEVELOPED AS A KIT OF PARTS USING CLT CONSTRUCTION WHICH CAN BE MODIFIED FOR A VARIETY OF USES AND SIZES AS FUTURE BUILDINGS ARE DEVELOPED.
